Touching Feet
It refers to an IAS officer of Bokaro (Jharkhand) touching feet of JMM
supremo, Shibu Soren after the high-profile leader was freed from the jail.
It is regretting that Jharkhand government could not instantly act against
the officer violating norms set for government-employees, even though the
incident was aired by all the TV news-channels.
It is high time that norms be set to avoid feet-touching of leaders in
public. Ban should also be slapped on celebrating birthdays of leaders by
sticking posters on city-walls to congratulate (flatter) celebrities.

Sin of Shaking Hands with Sanju
It does not sound well when a policeman was suspended for hugging Sanjay
Dutt and shaking hands with him on his release on bail from Yerawada jail in
Pune. Why forget that Policemen too are human-beings having common
sentiments. How can their gesture be termed as illegal when a celebrity like
Sanjay Dutt himself comes forward for hugging ordinary policemen on duty?
And why should we forget that even the TADA judge convicting the film-star
had shown unusual courtesy towards Sanjay Dutt by inviting him to his
chambers for a friendly chat after the court was adjourned for the day?
AIIMS Again in News
![]() |
Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss should be sacked at least from post of Chairperson of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), if not from the Union Cabinet for playing dirty politics in country’s premier institute to settle personal scores with AIIMS Director, Dr. P Venugopal. It was shocking that the resident-doctors were forcibly lifted in police-vans because they were agitating against the authorities for not issuing degrees in time, which is their |
legitimate right. However instead of harassing the AIIMS Director the Union Health Minister should take concrete steps to ensure that effective steps are taken to stop brain-drain in shape of our young doctors migrating to other countries for jobs. Even canceling of passports of doctors intending to leave the country may not be a bad exercise.
