Bullet for Bullet
Bullet for
Bullet, is a mind blowing peace of writing that speaks volumes about Mr.
honest’s double speak. Surprisingly in an era of information technology when
information moves faster than electricity and spreads faster than the wild
fire how does Mr. Azad accepts others to believe his contradictory sermons?
The writer has justifiably described Azad as a shrewd politician. He speaks
what suits him politically. Had this not been the case he wouldn’t have
advocated bullet for bullet policy while speaking at a gathering in Haryana
and advocated soft policy against terrorists while addressing a gathering of
Muslims in New Delhi. By speaking differently at different occasions Mr.
Azad has harmed none else than his own credibility. Hence forth he should
better be remembered for being a hypocrite rather than a true nationalist.

Fading Glory of Poonch
Fading Glory
of Poonch speaks volumes about the neglect of this historical township that
once enjoyed the status of a capital of an independent Principality.
Obviously the Government that has failed to even improve the drainage system
of this small township cannot claim putting the State on the path of
Khushhali. Also, a Government that is still depending on the royal palaces
for housing its schools and colleges has no right to be called as a popular
Government. The author of the write up being an eminent educationist there
can be no reason not to believe his charges against the working of the UEED.
If the Government is sincere, the matter should be probed and appropriate
steps taken.

President’s Painful Presence in the Paradise
President’s
Painful Presence in the Paradise is a bold attempt to pull up the organizers
of President’s recent visit of the Jammu and Kashmir state. The writer has
rightly said that despite there is a perceptible change in the situation the
message is negated by the visits of VVIPs when whole of the State is turned
into a fortress thereby causing immense hardships to the people. VVIPs visit
the State because it is there constitutional right and duty, but why should
there be so much of publicity that can attract the attention of militants
and prompt them to go for a strike? Let the VVIPs come silently and return
silently or their security should be so effectively managed that cannot
affect the routine life of a common man. Otherwise these visits will prove
more harmful on the diplomatic front where our assurances that the Valley is
fast returning to normalcy look hollow.

Was Hushyar Singh and his wife
killed by agencies?
Was Hushyar
Singh and his wife killed by agencies is an interesting account of the gory
incident. By analysing the facts of the killing of the progressive leader
whose International Democratic Party, IDP was known for its peace
initiatives the writer has dispelled all theories that lead to the
involvement of agencies behind Hushyar Singh’s killing. The writer is true
to say that militants didn’t sneak into the Indian side merely to kill the
family of a human rightist whose utterances could indict the security forces
for doing access. The writer has successfully conveyed his view point that
the militants were for some thing bigger and had agencies been so critical
about Hushyar Singh’s criticism of security forces they should have targeted
the KT Chairman who knowingly or unknowingly has earned the notoriety of
being an official spokesman of separatists. The above article has left no
doubt about the intentions of the militants who had come to make a bigger
news than killing of a common
man and if the writer says that their target could be the army quarters he
may not be wrong to say so.

Down
the Memory Lane
Down the
Memory Lane is a well composed obituary from the heart of a younger brother.
Only he who has lost his sister can understand the grief of Mr. Manhas, but
name a person who has not lost his sisters, brothers, parents and children?
The author might have been a hurt man, but the hard fact of life is that the
way the wounds of others have healed the injury caused to the writer in the
death of his sister will also heal though gradually. This is a hard fact of
life and this every body has to experience. I was told that her funeral
procession was a historic one which was a befitting tribute to the wife of a
patriot who has sacrificed whole of his life in
service of the nation. People should not forget the sacrifices of patriots
and thankfully people of Bhadarwah have not forgotten them.

Refugees Betrayed
Refugees
Betrayed, is a tragic tale of those who were forced to leave their home and
hearth in the wake of bloody partition and subsequent wars between the
countries so formed. Though becoming refugees was not their fault, they are
reaping the penalty. The refugees have been clamoring for their genuine
rights for past many decades, but without causing any effect on the deaf
ears of he authorities. If the writer says that the meagre rehabilitation
amount announced by the Prime Minister during his recent visit was like
sprinkling salt on the wounds of the refugees he is justified to say so
because only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches. The Government must
take immediate steps to provide genuine rights to the suffering refugees
otherwise the party at the helm of affairs should keep itself prepared to
face the ire of refugees during the up coming elections.
